On January 8 am, 2008, the Central Party Committee, the State Council hold the national science and technology reward congress of 2007 in the Great Hall of the People. The project of Triangle Group ---“sets of jumbo OTR production technology and equipment development “has received the first award of national science and technology progressive of 2007. The chairman and president Ding Yuhua of Triangle Group attended the congress, and received the certificate issued by the national leader. Mr. Ding has accepted the interview by the following medial, such as Xinhua News Agency, the People's Daily, the Economics Daily, the Guangming Daily, the Worker's Daily, the central people broadcasting station, the China Central Television, the technical daily paper, the Chinese chemical industry newspaper, the Chinese automobile newspaper and so on more than 20 media. This is the highest tech award obtained since the founding of the Chinese nation in tire profession.
  The jumbo OTR is the high-tech rubber product in chemical profession, mainly set for the engineering and the mining machinery. Due to the complex structure, big size, and difficulty in technology, progress, equipment, Michelin and the other three major multinational companies hold controls, blockade, and has monopolized technical and the global market.
  Triangle Group works with equipment manufactures at home to create product design system, innovate compound system, invent core building process with three stages with seven drums and innovate series huge whole set of production equipment with five-year effort, and succeeded to accomplish the innovation on Jumbo OTR radial tyre core process and system integration of special equipment. It also makes special technology innovation on product construction, pattern, material and compound. This project breaks international technology blockage and gets 4 items of national invention patent, 16 items of software copyright, which is a major technology innovation in tyre industry. Triangle Group developed the first jumbo OTR radial tyre in national market independently in 2002 and has formed scale production immediately and succeeds to deliver to international market. Now it has production capacity of 200,000 units per year with overall sizes. It has become the 4th largest tyre manufacture in the world and one of excellent suppliers for Caterpillar.
  Triangle Jumbo OTR radial tyres have been checked by several international authority and are provided to the largest engineering machinery manufacture—Caterpillar for OE. Its general technology index reaches even beyond international advanced level.
  This project cost 1/3 of foreign companies’ investment, whose production capacity for every year is 200,000 units. It has lowest cost and the largest production base for one factory in the world. More than 90% products are exported to international high end market. It makes substantial economic benefit and social benefit with high technology and high affixation value.
  The success of this project has made great contribution on industrial science-technology improvement, industrial construction optimization and high technology product to export to international market.
  In 2007, sales reached over 10 billion RMB for the first time. The main business-tyre manufacturing capacities reach 21 million units, of which radial products take up over 85%.
